I’ve mapped this city out and been almost everywhere. This is a brain dump of some of my knowledge of the city.

–Major Stations–

SHIBUYA

Profile: Youngest average age of chicks and most crowded area in the city. Highest number of gyaru/yamamba, but also the place where you can expect the most blow-offs (for street approaches) because there are scouts and nampa-artists all over the streets hitting on the girls non-stop, and Shibuya is considered a somewhat dangerous place. A pretty good place to cut your teeth and watch some mad street nampa happening all around you. One thing, you’ll never have to worry about finding your next target.

Places to go (mostly along and around Center-gai): McDonalds/First Kitchen/Lotteria/other fast food places (tons of young girls hanging out, doing their makeup, just killing time!), the Hubs (a chain of "English" pubs actually Japanese owned and staffed, cheap drinks, with good mix of foreigners and J-chicks/guys and nice casual feeling with low lighting), in or in front of the 109 Building (filled to the gills with hot chicks, but watch out for security guards - it’s exclusively fashion shops for women), or one of the many clubs like Pure, Asia, Xanadu, Gaspanic, etc. I don’t go clubbing in Shibuya much, but I know on Saturday evenings both Xanadu and Pure host "international parties" where the chicks are already looking for foreigners, and usually there will be a few serious hotties in the mix. If you want to be the only foreigner in a place and just OWN it, then you gotta get the word from a Japanese friend who knows shit, so try to make a few Japanese guy friends, too!

HARAJUKU

Profile: Probably the most fashionable area (along Omotesando) but also the youngest (along Takeshita St.). Home to the visual-kei groups that dress up like Little Bo Beep and other funky costumes. Good for daytime and early evening pickup.

Places to go: Takeshita Street (tight and crowded, easy to bump into people and start chatting), in front of the GAP (picked up two very hot chicks there with a wingman last month, got ‘em home and made out but ended up fumbling the lays), Italian restaurants (not for straight nampa, but usually all girls sitting nearby and waitresses are almost all pretty hot), Yoyogi Park, especially when there is any kind of event or concert or festival going on.

SHINKUKU

Profile: Excellent traffic and good mix of ages with plenty of teens and early 20s girls, office ladies, hostesses, cabaret girls, etc. Probably the most consistent outdoor pickup location in the city, and fantastic on weekends when the weather is good. Not as intimidating as Shibuya. Kabuki-cho is a different story, and street PU there can be really tough because it is considered by many to be the most dangerous part of the whole country - also can cause girls to flake when you try to meet them again unless the girl always hangs out in that area. It seems the girl goes home and tells her friends she met this cool foreigner, and when her friends hear where you met, they freak out and keep her from meeting you again. If you decide to hunt chicks there, be ready to build extra trust and rapport, or go all out for same-day-lay (my default recommendation). Club pickup in some of the clubs and bars in Kabuki-cho can be a little better, though.

Places to go: East and south exits have mega-high traffic all the time (west exit, too, but older age range), and just walking around on the street is great during the day/early evening, at night the three Hubs are all pretty good (best one I think is on Yasukuni Street in front of Kabuki-cho), as well as Dubliners (near Mitsukoshi). Groups of college students are all around having go-kons and club events (they go to izakayas and get pissed and try to get lucky. Generally any place in Shinjuku with people, including Starbucks, etc., is cool. You can be like a kid in a candy store just walking around there!

IKEBUKURO

Profile: Few foreigners here, and less hot or young women than Shinjuku or Shibuya, but more country girls visiting from outside Tokyo, who are less busy, more horny, and more naive, cute, and "innocent" (but plenty willing to give it up!). I actually find the ceiling to be higher as far as level of hotness, although the average is lower. It may not look like much, but there are some gems here, and they can be the most receptive and easily charmed. I have gotten a few hard blow-offs here (like when I stalled chicks out by not approaching immediately), but mostly I think this is one of the easier and more fun places to run game in the city.

Places to go: Foreigner hangouts are, again, the Hubs (near the east and west exits), and the Black Sheep (east exit behind Mitsukoshi). No clubs here I know of, but street can be very good if you have some patience. Weekend afternoons and around 7pm on weekdays is very good. The complex of the station itself with Tobu and Seibu department stores and food courts - highly recommended. La Pausa and other Italian restaurants, cafes, Sunshine City Building (east exit). The street leading to Sunshine City is currently suffering from overhunting, and the girls are on guard there, but other places are generally cool. Also, Baskin Robbins/Haagen Dazs ice cream - very good for a kind of peacocking for some reason, I guess because no one in Japan licks their ice cream, they actually try to scoop it from the CONE with a SPOON! In the parlors themselves, you can hit on ALL the chicks using the ice cream and the staff, too!! Walking around with ice cream cones and other frozen snack thingies is great for getting attention in Japan, except they don’t last very long. I know this sounds weird, but it’s gotten me into more conversations than I can remember.

GINZA

Profile: Fine office ladies, rich girls, people visiting from all over the country, and a very classy and comfortable atmosphere, especially on Sundays. Girls are NOT used to being picked up here, so bitch shields are often not activated.

Places to go: anywhere on the street, or in department store basements, cafes like the Dotour kitty-corner from Mitsukoshi, etc. At night there are some good casual and cheap(!) bars and big pubs and beer halls, etc. Good for daytime or evening, but late night is pretty limited unless you know where to go, have money, or have friends who can get you to the exclusive places.

ROPPONGI

Profile: The foreigner capitol and nitelife center of Tokyo, and the only area of the city that is bustling all night. Tons of foreigners here, with plenty of sleazy places you can get in for free, plus many more clubs and bars for every price range. Things start picking up in the clubs between 11pm and 1am, depending on the club. Daytime pickup has gotten good here in recent years, too.

Places to go: Daytime and early evening street is cool, especially inside and around the gargantuan Roppongi Hills complex that was completed two years ago. All kinds of chicks in there, not as young on average, but many rich ones, and overall comfortable environment for street-type PU. At night the big free-entrance (often pretty sleazy) clubs are Motown (hits, dance classics, etc. - good lighting), Wall Street (same), Gaspanic (more hits/poppy, but generally the same - sometimes a lot of military guys, but sometimes all Japanese), Heartland (easy place to roll into and people are usually spilling outside into the walkways, rich guys there, but what competition are they? Not much in my experience. Last time me and a friend strode in there and walked out with the first set of two 8’s we talked to in the space of about two minutes, without ordering a drink or anything - easy place and nice atmosphere, located at the edge of Roppongi Hills, and lively even early-ish on weekday evenings), Hideout (techno, etc), Quest (pop/dance classics, etc., depends on the night), Castillo (more of a bar with a small dancefloor, classic 70s, etc.), Propaganda (ignore the name - this is actually a great casual bar) 911 (usual music, often extremely crowded and not enough lighting to see chick’s faces clearly).
Cheapish entrance places: Muse (at Azabu Crossing, between Hiroo and Roppongi station, big maze-like place with quiet areas to extract to, and easy chicks a plenty), Bar Isn’t It? (called "izunto-itto" in Japanese - a big room with a more Japanese crowd, fairly friendly, hotter chicks, and pretty good tunes the time I went), Lexington Queen ("Lex" - 3000 or 4000 yen, but Monday night girls are free, and it’s also a very famous place - a pickup artist friend of mine and Japan long-timer swears by "Monday nights at Lex"), Vanilla (use the coupons they hand out near the entrance - a solid place for hot chicks, and huge with many areas, but the staff can be assholes), Feria (sort of across the street from Muse - tons of coked up, horny, and very very young Russian models, with a few Japanese girls thrown in), A-Life (across from Roppongi Hills near the Italian family restaurant Saizeriya - many very hot chicks, but I’ve never been - more of a Japanese-dominated club, which means hotter chicks but more cliqueish and more cockblocking), X-Cross (toward Hiroo from Muse - another place like A-Life that I’ve never been but see scads of hot chick going in and out of).

For non-foreigner hangouts, it will usually cost you at least 3000, but there is Yellow and Ko (both hidden pretty well on the same sidestreet in the block kitty-corner from Muse), and about a zillion others if you know where you’re going. When I walked into Ko (kanji for ¡Èkaori¡É (¹á)), it was like they had never seen a foreigner in their entire lives and just about everyone in the club was coming up to shake my hand, dance with me, chat, some asked my number, etc. It helps if you go in with a girl, because for some reason this really disarms the would-be cockblocking guys (and of course girls).

–Smaller Stations–

KICHIJOJI (Chuo line from Shinjuku or Inokashira line from Shibuya)

Profile: Cool place with a lot street musicians and small jazz cafes and bars, etc. The thing that makes this place great for nampa is the ratio of chicks here due to the two women’s universities here and several other along the Chuo line. Sometimes it looks like there are three chicks for every guy here! Recently has suffered from overfishing though, especially near the station.

OMIYA (Saikyo line/Shonan-Shinjuku line north from Shibuya/Shinjuku/Ikebukuro 30 mins or so, or Keihin-Tohoku line north from Ueno)

Profile: A bit of a trek outside Tokyo, but young country girls galore here, and right inside and around the station is prime PU area, cafes, McDs, etc. Also recently suffering from overhunting of late, but extremely hot and cute/innocent girls all over the place. Also, very few foreigners. Nighttime nampa is going on all the time, but it can be rough competition with the J-guys - good for practice in dealing with mixed groups of J-guys and girls.

HACHIOJI (Keio line or Chuo like from Shinjuku, about an hour away)

Profile: Very friendly and different atmosphere from Tokyo, people may wave to you from their cars for no reason, and few foreigners. I found it really easy to approach there for some reason.

SHIMOKITAZAWA (Inokashira line from Shibuya, or Odakyu line from Shinjuku)

Profile: Used to be really cool place for artsy and eccentric types with a great mix of people, but hasn’t been so good recently for some reason. I met and banged a 19 yo actress for Japanese TV there three years ago, just from some gazing through a window at McDs as I was walking by on a date with another girl! Recently I hear it¡Çs not as good as it once was.

If anyone wants more specific info on anywhere in the Kanto area, I’ve been almost everywhere, always paying attention to the babe situation everywhere I went, so I can probably give some kind of advice on most places.
